The adidas Yeezy 500 High “Shale Warm” is one of two February 2021 colorways of the high-top version of Kanye West’s chunky lifestyle shoe. The “Shale Warm” and the “Mist Slate” are the first Yeezy 500 High release since May 2020 when the “Tyrian” colorway made headlines for its trail boot inspired design. Here, the “Shale Warm” favors a more “sandy” appearance as its puffy neoprene base and accompanying suede and leather overlays appear in beige or Shale Warm. A light grey rubber midsole contrasts the look. The adidas Yeezy 500 series references nostalgic technology from the brand’s history as both the adiPRENE midsole and Feet You Wear outsole add a retro performance basketball inspired vibe to the shoe.
