Simply unscrew the solid sewer cap and screw the Home-Saver Cap into your existing sewer cleanout. If a sewer backup occurs, the Home-Saver Cap will flip up, allowing the wastewater to exit outside of your home or business. Expelling the waste outside protects you from costly damage to flooring, furniture, and valuables, as well as unhealthy exposure to sewage and wastewater.You or a plumber can install the 6" Home-Saver Sewer Relief Cap in minutes. PLEASE NOTE: For proper functionality, the finished grade/elevation of the installed Home-Saver Cap must be at a minimum of 1" below the lowest interior plumbing opening (ex: shower drain, toilet, tub drain, etc.)Do not place any items on top of the cap, as their weight will prevent the cap from opening.Do not use your lawn mower over the sewer cap!
