Vintage Teacups, Japanese Style Tea Cups, Yunomi, Samurais & Letters / Oriental Characters / Letters, Set of 2, No Handle, (Discontinued)
Made in Japan
Vintage: 1980's - 1990's (estimated)
Details: This is a gorgeous set of Japanese tea cups, the detail in these is amazing! There are several samurais in their traditional kimonos and honorable hair style; accompanied by a Geisha woman and lots of gold accents. This design is on both sides of the cup, with Japanese characters in between. These cups have crazing but we believe this is an intentional part of the design. Both are marked on the bottom with a red square, we were unable to identify the maker. These were originally part of a set that included a teapot, if you own this set and are looking for a replacement cup or need additional cups, we hope these are a happy find. If you're just looking for beautiful and unique Japanese tea cups, these are a great option. There is a very minor condition issue, please see below.
