The Miele connecting plate floor nozzle shown here is an attachment used with the S5 vacuum cleaner series and comes standard with every S5 canister vacuum. The nozzle attaches to the end of the wand and the floor tool then attaches to the nozzle. Docking the wand to the canister body is really tight on the S5 series and using this piece allows the wand and floor tool to dock more effectively on the machine. Also, with some accessory kits such as the Miele Car Care Kit, the comfort sleeve is required for the accessories to fit the S5 vacuum models.
