It is only natural that Claude Bolling, one of the greatest representatives of European jazz, and who fused jazz and classics to create crossover music, gives tribute to the heritage of French song, an internationally-known repertoire, which his Big Band plays generously and good-heartedly. First released for Milan/Universal in 2000, this disc is of double historical interest as the greatest European Big Band of the 20th century pays homage to the French repertory.
